MITO Y ORIGEN DE LA CONSTELACIÓN INDIO
Representa a un indio piel roja armado con flechas y lanza. Inventada por los navegantes Pieter Dirksz Keyser y Fredick de Houtman, fue incluida por Johann Bayer en su atlas estelar. Por su parte, Julius Schiller quiso implantar la constelación del santo Job con las estrellas de las constelaciones del Indio y del Pavo.
