MITO Y ORIGEN DE LA CONSTELACIÓN TRIANNGULO AUSTRAL
Las tres estrellas de la constelación Triángulo Austral dibujan claramente un triángulo. Ello explica que primero Américo Vespucio y después los holandeses Pieter Keyser y Frederick de Houtman, todos ellos navegantes, describieran del mismo modo la constelación que luego Johann Bayer incluiría en Uranometria.
Por su parte, Schiller pretendió que las tres estrellas del Triángulo Austral tuviesen nombres del Antiguo Testamento: Abrahan, Isaac y Jacob.
